Does this uniform make me look gay? Oh, goodie.

No Cameras for Historic Case.

Two Supreme Court justices who once seemed open to the idea of cameras in the courtroom said Monday they have reconsidered those views, dashing even faint hopes that April’s historic arguments over gay marriage might be televised.

In separate appearances, Justices Kagan and Sotomayer said allowing cameras might lead to grandstanding that could fundamentally change the nature of the high court. (Washington Times.)

Gay marriage news watch.

“Matt Baume reports on the approaching end to the stay on Alabama's gay marriage ruling, Roy Moore and Mike Huckabee claiming states don't have to follow federal orders, Alabama state Rep. Patricia Todd's threat to "out" anti-gay Republicans, Oklahoma state Rep. Sally Kern's horrific anti-gay bills, the National Organization for Marriage saying they'll ask 2016 candidates to sign an anti-gay pledge, and more.”

Yeah, eh.

Calgary police most progressive force in Canada.

A gay police officer who travels the country to prevent bullying says the Calgary Police Service is among the most progressive in Canada. He says he feels more supported in Calgary than anywhere else he's been. (CBC.)

Mike Huckabee’s back at it. Gay lifestyle leads to swearing and drinking.

"This is not just a political issue. It is a biblical issue. And as a biblical issue -- unless I get a new version of the scriptures, it's really not my place to say, OK, I'm just going to evolve," Huckabee said.

Honestly, we never drink, smoke or swear. And anytime Mike wants to evolve is fine with us…it’s a step in the right direction, sir. We can only applaud.

(Shit. We seem to have left our smokes in the bar. – ed.)

“DAMASCUS: Islamic State (IS) militants stoned to death two young men in Syria’s eastern province of Deir al-Zour on charges of having “unlawful” sexual intercourse with other males, a monitoring group has reported. The first man, 20-year-old, was stoned to death at the al-Bakara roundabout in the city of Mayadeen in Deir al-Zour and his execution was attended by crowds of civilians, including children, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) Tuesday. It added that the man was arrested by the IS fighters earlier and a video of him having sex with another male was allegedly found stored in his cellphone.

Sidney’s Shame, (Australia.)

|Two boys play cards at the Keelong detention centre, south of Wollongong, in April 1991. “Tell me some good stories, you c...,” says one.

“About fag-bashing?| asks the other. And this 17-year-old inmate does not disappoint. “It was heaps fun,” he says. With sadistic relish, he regales his fellow prisoner, and another at Sydney's Minda Detention Centre a few months later, with his reminiscences.

He reckons he was 12 when he started. He talks about hunting in packs of as many as 30 youths who would ambush homosexual men and punch and kick them and stomp on their heads, from Alexandria Park to Kings Cross and Centennial Park to Bondi and Tamarama. They'd go ‘cliff-jumping’ and push gays over the edge.

“Ah! Help, help!” he mocks one victim. “Heaps funny. Used to love how they scream, eh?”
